Indigenous children are far more likely to be taken from their homes

The number of Indigenous children in government care has barely changed in 20 years, even as the number of non-Indigenous children in care has plunged.

Authorities are nearly twenty times more likely to take an Indigenous child from their home than they are to take other children.

The province also spends far less onIndigenous children in care than they do on non-Indigenous children.
